She was predeceased by: her parents, Robert Albert Stringer and Mary Helen Clayton Stringer; her husband Samuel Milton "Sam" Broome; her brother Robert Stephen Stringer; and her daughter-in-law Heather Broome.
She is survived by: her children, Mary Christine B. Oakes, Patricia Lynn Broome Furgerson (Travis) and Daniel Steven Broome; her sister Sandra Lynn Stringer Earwood (Jeff); and her nephew Jeremy Whitlock. She is also survived by eight grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren, and a number of extended family.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 3rd 2026 from 1:00 PM to 1:45 PM at the Pleasant Valley North Baptist Church (735 Old Summerville Rd NW, Rome, GA 30165). A memorial service will be held on Saturday, October 3rd 2026 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
