She is survived by: her children, Susan Gordon, Sandra Cookston (Brett), Janet Blankenship (Tommy) and Mark Headrick; her grandchildren, Abra Gordon (Calvin), Ashley Blake (Shane), Will Gordon (Katie) and Patrick Blankenship; her great grandchildren, Chanden, Britton, Aden, Callen, Addison (Robbie), Sarah, Brileigh and Grayson; and her siblings, Mae Black and John Olin Black. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Friday, June 13th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Salmon Funeral Home (2516 New Calhoun Hwy NE, Rome, GA 30161). A funeral service will be held on Friday, June 13th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the same location. A burial will be held on Friday, June 13th 2025 at the Oaknoll Memorial Gardens (2549 Shorter Ave, Rome, GA 30165). Dot was a talented cook, renowned for her ability to create delicious meals that brought her family together every Sunday, a cherished tradition she maintained until the onset of the Covid-19 pandemic.
