Though Dwight may no longer walk beside us, his memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those Dwight touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In his absence, his spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Clemons W. Tolbert and Pearl Alred Tolbert. He is survived by: his wife Linda M. Tolbert; his children, Lisa T. Bishop (David) and Stephen D. Tolbert; his grandchildren, Lauren Hamrick (Billy) and Spencer Tolbert (Mary Margaret); his child Morgan Powell (Cody); and his niece Cynthia T. Chester. He is also survived by three great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Monday, November 10th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Trinity (606 Turner McCall Blvd, Rome, GA 30165). A memorial service will be held on Monday, November 10th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Trinity by the River.
