With profound sadness, we say goodbye to Ellen H. Mathis of Rome, Georgia, whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. Ellen left this world on January 18, 2025 at the age of 84, leaving a void in the lives of so many people. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Thomas Owen Holsonback and Kathleen Cordle Holsonback; and her husband Weyman Mathis. She is survived by: her daughters, Denise Smith (Jimmy) and Janet Wilson (Bob); her grandchildren, Whitney Hsu (Ryan), Cameron Smith (Shianne Quick) and Abigail Wampler (John); her great grandchildren, Ella Kate, Joseph, Davis Hsu, Oakley Smith and Brooks Wampler; her siblings, Wayne Holsonback (Chris) and Melanie Johnson (John); and her nephew Jeff Johnson. She is also survived by several other nieces and nephews.
