She was predeceased by: her parents, Howard Wyatt Avery and Ava Lee Ayers Avery; her daughter-in-law Tammy Payne; and her siblings, Doris Venette Billings, Truett Avery and William "Bill" Avery.
She is survived by: her children, George Randall "Butch" Payne, Jr. (Wendy) of Rome, David Payne of Rome and Rebecca Ann Payne of Rome; her grandchildren, Tiffany Horton and George Randall "Trey" Payne, III (Mary Margaret); her great grandchildren, Sam Horton, Duke Horton and George Payne; and her sisters, Jane Donahue and Sharon Parker. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
