He was predeceased by: his parents, Marvin Leon Rogers and Martha Lee Horn Rogers. He is survived by: his wife Nancy McCain Rogers; his daughters, Allison Upton (Bob) and Melissa Sutton (Stan); his sisters, Shirley Hester (Tommy), Elaine Pledger (Bill) of Rome and Peggy Culberson (Charles) of Morganton; and his stepgranddaughters, Lyndsey Upton of Oregon and Anna Upton of Georgia. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
