He was predeceased by: his parents, J. D. Lindsey and Ruth Chapman Lindsey; his siblings, Dewell (late Martha Kay), Sheldon (late Sylbil), Wayne (late Mary), Reba Mason (late Dennis) and Earlgene Lindsey; his nephews, Gary and John Lindsey; his stepgranddaughter Lawrey Terry Boyd; and his stepchildren, Thelma Best Terry and Larry Best (late Elaine Jones Best).
He is survived by: his wife Reba Dempsey Ciliax; and his stepchildren, DeLona Best Simms (Billy), Sandra Acker Best, Danny Terry, Pamela (Steve Guthrie) and Joni (Rick Nelson). He is also survived by seven grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and 4 great-great-grandchildren.
