She is survived by: her children, William A Couey, Jr. (Geraldine), Kenneth R. Couey, Sr. (Jeanna) and Barbara Louise Barrett; and her grandchildren, Kenneth Ray Couey, Jr. (Molly), Kevin Lee Couey (Suzanne), Terri Ann Jensen (Ted), William A. Couey, III, Rhonda Morgan, Christina Lambert (Cody) and Robby Mixon, III (Emily). She is also survived by 15 great grandchildren; nieces and nephews.

Visitation was held on Monday, October 5th 2026 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Oaknoll Chapel (2542 Shorter Ave, Rome, GA 30165). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, October 6th 2026 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
