It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Guy Oliver Hunter of Rome, Georgia, who passed away on March 8, 2025, at the age of 81, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Harold Frierson Hunter, Sr. and Laura Weller Graham Hunter; and his brothers, H. F. Hunter, Jr. (Ted) and John Graham Hunter. He is survived by: his wife Virginia Hart Hunter; his children, Katherine Warner Hunter (Erik Eidsvik) and William Frierson Hunter (Allison); his grandchildren, Cameron Hunter (Savanna), Mason Hunter, Elizabeth Hunter, Emerson Hunter, Graham Eidsvik and Max Eidsvik; and his brother David Garland Hunter (Nancy). He is also survived by nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made to Heyman Hospice Care 420 E. 2nd Ave., Ste. 103, Rome, GA 30161 or Darlington School, 1014 Cave Spring Road, SW, Rome, GA 30161.
