With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Howard Wayne Ray of Rome, Georgia, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on June 16, 2025 at the age of 74. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
In the quiet moments of reflection, amidst the gentle rustle of leaves and the whispered song of the stars, we shall carry Howard Wayne's memory with us, a guiding light illuminating the path ahead. May Howard Wayne's journey be filled with peace and serenity, and may he find rest in the embrace of eternity.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Howard Paul Ray and Lucetta Schwenk Ray; his brother Reggie Ray; his grandparents, Lester Ray and Audie Maude Ray; and his stepmother Lois Thomas Ray.
He is survived by: his daughter Camden Delaney Ray; his granddaughter Emersyn; his stepson TJ Ezell; and his sister Paulette Phillips. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, June 24th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the North Chapel (4900 Martha Berry Hwy, Rome, GA 30165).
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Hunger Ministries or to a charity of your choice in Wayne's memory.
