He was predeceased by: his parents, Violette Barnes Arthur and Albert Walter Barnes; his stepfather James E. Arthur; and his siblings, Phyllis Barnes Dempsey and James R. Arthur.
He is survived by: his two daughters, a granddaughter; and his sisters, Monica A. Hudson and Bobbe A. Hall (Greg). He is also survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins.
