He was predeceased by: his parents, Lena Christine Bridges and Curtis Ishmel Ott; his wife Bessie Elizabeth Branton Ott; his siblings, Joseph Delano Bridges, Charles Bryant Bridges, Richard Ott, Gary Ott and Peggy Joyce Bridges; and his stepfather E. D. Bridges.
He is survived by: his children, Jackie Sweitzer (David), Pam Greenwood and Steve Ott (Terri); his great grandchildren, Jackson, Jake, Ava Miller, Ethan, Alex, Jamie Greenwood, Macy Scott, Benjamin, Mary Helen, Rainey and Samuel Sweitzer; and his sister-in-law Shelly Bridges. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
