James Edwin Lloyd Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of James Edwin Lloyd of Rome, Georgia, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on June 2, 2025 at the age of 96. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parent Elder Lewis Herman Lloyd; his former wife Dorothy Quick Lloyd; and his siblings, Coleman (Mildred), Wallace (MaryLou), L. R. (Ruth), Robert (Frances "Sissy"), Edrie Dorsett (Howard), Kate Hall (Carl), Daisey Merony (Lonnie), Ruby Ullman (Karl) and Sarah Goss (Bill).
He is survived by: his wife Helen Blalock Pitts Lloyd; his son Sandy Lloyd (Jan); his grandchildren, Seth Lloyd (Alyson) and Kristen Fowlkes (Drew); his great grandchildren, Sebastian Oliver Lloyd, Theodore Elliot Lloyd, James Grace Fowlkes and Hudson Ray Fowlkes; and his sons, Seth Lloyd, Drew Fowlkes, Robbie Cook, James Amos and Tim Pettyjohn. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews, with five sisters and four brothers.
Visitation will be held on Friday, June 6th 2025 from 12:30 PM to 1:45 PM at the South Chapel (3002 Maple Rd SE, Rome, GA 30161). A funeral service will be held on Friday, June 6th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
