He is survived by: his parents, James Lawson Short, Sr. and Nell Short; his wife Regina Gentry Short; his sons, Trent Short (Kara) and Tyler Short (Katy); his grandchildren, Henley Short, Isaac Short, Harper Short, Lawson Short and Toccoa Short; and his siblings, Connie Shaw and Bill Short (Ammalee). He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, December 6th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the Chapel of Smith & Miller Funeral Home (1000 N Main St, Cedartown, GA 30125). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, December 6th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
