He was predeceased by: his parents, Joe L. Mobbs and Foye Wheeling Mobbs; the mother of his children Barbara Allen Mobbs; and his siblings, Quinton and Barbara Ann.
He is survived by: his siblings, Billy Mobbs and Elaine Abernathy; his daughters, Lisa Huggins, Deborah Holcomb, Connie Beal and Julie Millsaps; and his grandchildren, Janice, Dondra, Dayton, Marie, Beth, Chelsea, Forrest, Courtney, Cody and Colbie. He is also survived by several great grandchildren; nieces, nephews and cousins.
