It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Janet Scherer Cox (Rome, Georgia), who passed away on October 15, 2025, at the age of 78, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
As we bid adieu to Janet's earthly form, let us not dwell on the void left in her wake, but rather celebrate the legacy of love and inspiration Janet has bequeathed us. For though she may have departed from our sight, her spirit remains a timeless beacon, guiding loved ones through the labyrinth of life's journey.
She was predeceased by: her husband John S Cox; her parents, Robert Scherer and Ernestine Scherer (Williams); and her brother Mark Scherer. She is survived by: her sisters, Lynn Scherer and Andrea Scherer Culbreth (Danny); her nieces, Katy and Ashley; her nephew Till; and her friends, Judi Burns Borgo, Jackie Lupo and Oliver. She is also survived by many great-nephews; a great niece; and a great grand niece.
