He was predeceased by: his parents, Paul Albert Dunagan and Joyce Evelyn Cantrell Dunagan. He is survived by: his wife Debbie Pledger Dunagan; his sisters, Paula Ross (Bryan) and Cathy Trapp; his nieces and nephews, Brandon Trapp (Kayla), Rachel Dempsey (Marcus), Todd Pledger and Courtney Pledger; his great-nephews, Ezra Dempsey and Jackson Pledger; his great-niece Sydney Pledger; and his close friend Frances Sanders. He is also survived by several aunts and numerous cousins.
