He was predeceased by: his parents, Arthur Torkkola and Shirley Olson Torkkola; and his former wife Cherry Torkkola. He is survived by: his wife Eunice Torkkola; his daughters, Tanya K. Locke (Stan) and Kaia Valentino (Mark); his granddaughters, Ellie Valentino and Sara Valentino; and his sisters, Sharon Marceniak (Harry) and Glynnis Torkkola. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
