It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Joan Caroldyn Terrell of Rome, Georgia, who passed away on November 3, 2021, at the age of 79, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her grandparents, Ralph W. Shropshire and Mattie Fleetwood Shropshire; her parents, Matthew Smith, Jr. and Ora Mae Shropshire (Harry Terrell); her son Dwight Pollard; and her siblings, Barbara White, Jamaine Bolling and Phillip Scott.

She is survived by: her husband Carl Blythe of Rome, Georgia; her children, Dorcus E. McCrary (Marion), Duncan E. Shropshire, Valerio M. Pollard, Tara Terrell (Corey) and Pennamon; her aunt Ardella "Susie" Shropshire; and her grandchildren, Camion Allen, Vaneicia Newsome, Tenace Newsome, Valeria Pollard, Travis Bark, Mia Grace, Ramona McKinley, Rashad McCrary, Darius Pollard, Demetrius Pollard, Jasmine Pollard and Dominique Pollard. She is also survived by great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends.
