He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Burns Shook and Emma Hancock Shook; his wife Martha Gingrich Shook; and his siblings, Mary Burns Simmons, Sarah Shook, Willie B. Smith, Bob Shook and Michael Shook.
He is survived by: his children, Rhonda Shook Sizemore and James William Shook; his grandchildren, Nicholas A. Sharman and Ainslee N. Sharman (Logan Sorenson); and his great grandchildren, Wyatt Clyde Sharman, Waylan Charles Sharman and Avalynn Jane Sorenson.
