He was predeceased by: his father Jay Nell Boutwell Tappan. He is survived by: his wife Susan Dawkins Tappan; his sons, Chris Tappan and Cliff Tappan (Pam); his grandchildren, Elena, Maeve, Reid, Thea and Emerson; and his brothers, Scott Tappan and Tim Tappan.
