He was predeceased by: his parents, Tan Kim Chong and Rosario Lim; and his siblings, Teresita Skiba, Anita Tan, Samuel Tan and Roque Tan.
He is survived by: his wife Caroline Yaphockun; his children, Nathaniel Tan, Jere Tan (Aaron Ranallo) and Julienne Carol Tan; his granddaughter Genevieve Rose Ranallo; and his siblings, Leticia Dy, Belen Dano (Teodoro), Nenita Tan, Cecilia Tan, William Tan, Jesus Tan (Elvira) and Eugene Tan (Shirley). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
