He is survived by: his wife Maria Rivera; his children, Xenia Pineda-Chavez (Manuel), Edwin Pineda (Lijia) and Johnanna Pineda (Luis Aparicio); his grandchildren, Jose Nery Chavez, Jeisson Herod (Devin), Edwin Pineda, Alexa Pineda, Lessly Aparicio, Kevin Chavez and Christian Aparicio; and his sisters, Blanca Rivera, Telvina Rivera, Rita Rivera, Teresa Rivers and Marta Rivera. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins.
