With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Judith Carolyn Blankenship Emerick of Rome, Georgia, who passed away on July 6, 2024 at the age of 82. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
Though Judith Carolyn may no longer walk beside us, her memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those Judith Carolyn touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In her absence, her spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Doyal Avery Blankenship and Marguerite McCullough Blankenship; her sons, Douglas Louis "Doug" Barton and Robert Wesley "Bobby" Barton; her grandson Douglas Joseph Barton; and her siblings, Max Blankenship and Marilyn Eugenia Blankenship.
She is survived by: her husband Daniel Emerick; and her grandson Jesse Barton. She is also survived by nieces and nephews.
