We bid farewell to Julius Eugene Mathis of Rome, Georgia, whose journey of life gracefully concluded on June 7, 2025 at the age of 82. Julius Eugene touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. He was predeceased by: his parents, William Julius Mathis and Wilma Nell Tharpe Mathis; and his wife Diane Routh Mathis. He is survived by: his children, Nancy O'Grady (Shawn) and Bill Mathis (Libby); his grandson Wyatt Mathis; his brother William "Jacky" Mathis (Janice); his nephews, Flint Mathis (Kelly) and Jace Mathis; and his great-nephew Julius Mathis.
Visitation will be held on Friday, June 13th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:45 PM at the South Chapel (3002 Maple Rd SE, Rome, GA 30161). A funeral service will be held on Friday, June 13th 2025 at 3:00 PM at the same location.
