He was predeceased by: his parents, Homer Hill Minshew and Madge Morelock Minshew; his wife Barbara Ann Fincher Minshew; his son Phil Minshew; his daughter-in-law Joyce Truett Minshew; his grandson Jason Minshew; his siblings, Hershel Minshew, Harlon Minshew, James Minshew, LeRoy Minshew, Vera Minshew Waddell, Vertice Minshew Ferguson, Venice Minshew Garrett, Pauline Minshew Kerr, Reba Minshew Morgan and Peggy Minshew Parker; and his nephew Sonny Waddell.
He is survived by: his sons, Rick (Sherri Minshew) and Steve (Cindy Minshew); his granddaughter Nikki Bagley; his great grandchildren, Kaitlin (Patrick Raney) and Gracie Bagley; his sister Eleanor Minshew Risner; and his caregivers, Phil Waddell and Mike Vaughn.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to Oostanaula Lodge #113 where he was a member for over 60 years, 184 Featherston Rd SW Rome, GA 30165.
