She was predeceased by: her parents, Samuel Paul Edwards and Luna Vann Edwards; her husband Richard "Whitey" Leon Barnes, Jr.; and her brothers, Sammy Edwards, Tom Edwards, Jimmy Edwards and Johnny Edwards.

She is survived by: her children, Lee Barnes (LeGressa) of Rome and Bonnie Hobbs (Kenneth) of Rome; her grandchildren, Perry Barnes, Cody Barnes (Lisa), Jamey Barnes, Brad Hobbs, Lane Hobbs and Kassidy Hobbs; and her great grandchild Paislee Brock. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
