He was predeceased by: his parents, Palmer B. Brandon and Fannie L. Brandon; his siblings, Robert Ward, Homer Laughlin, Ewin Brandon, Joe Alexander (Marianne), Gerald Douglas, Mildred Guy (Leo), Crystal Baker (Curtis), Dorothy Plattner (Paul), Louise Esleck (Foster) and Betty Horton (Ed); and his close friends, Richard L. Durrett and Col. James W. Brown.
He is survived by: his wife Jane Brandon; his brother Fred Brandon (Carlynn); his sister-in-law Ruth Ann Brandon; his nieces and nephews, Jennifer Smith (Eddie), Allison Gaskins (Chris) and Hope Buchanan (Matthew); his grandchildren, Taylor Gaskins Ely (Jonathan), Callie Buchanan Jenkins (Colby), Bryson Smith and Cole Buchanan; and his grandson-in-law Richard Tran. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
