We are sad to announce that on October 1, 2025, Marie Vaughn of Rome, Georgia passed away. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
In the vast expanse of eternity, Marie shall find rest, cradled in the arms of everlasting peace. And as we bid Marie farewell, her loved ones carry with them the precious gift of her memory, a beacon of hope guiding them through the shadows of sorrow towards the light of a new dawn.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Frank (Inez Sosebee) and Marie; her husband Bobby Vaughn; her son Ray Vaughn; and her sister Daine Roberson.
She is survived by: her children, Travis Vaughn, Todd Vaughn, Timmy Vaughn (Teresa), Cathy Dominy (Tom) and Beth Rose; and her sister Elizabeth Justice. She is also survived by 27 grandchildren, 52 great grandchildren, and 13 great- great grandchildren several nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Monday, October 6th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Good Shepherd Funeral Home (2750 Shorter Ave, Rome, GA 30165). A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, October 7th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Cross Church (208 Darlington Dr SW, Rome, GA 30161).
