Orchid A. Lyons-Brown Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Orchid A. Lyons-Brown (Rome, Georgia), born in Okmulgee, Oklahoma, who passed away on July 3, 2023 at the age of 93. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Dr. Mack Lyons, Sr. and Johnnie Bryson Lyons; her grandparents, S. D. Lyons and Molly Bailey Lyons; her son Samuel E. Brown, Sr.; her brothers, Mack Lyons, Sr. (Lois) and Leon T. Lyons; her brother-in-law Horace Brown, Sr.; her sister Deborah Lyons Thompson; her nephew Leon T. Lyons, Jr.; her sister Viola Lyons Brown; her daughter Dr. Walton Brown-Foster (Benjamin); her grandson Suliman S; and her sister-in-law Glenda Lyons. She was also cherished by nieces and nephews in Georgia and Oklahoma, a grandnephew.
In lieu of flowers and cards, the family requests donations given in her name to the United Negro College Fund or the Alzheimer's Association.
