He was predeceased by: his parents, John Harrison Gilreath and Bessie Edith Sams Gilreath; his significant other Mary Virginia Turner Gilreath; his sons, Donald Gordon Gilreath and Danny Ray Gilreath; his son-in-law Don Bosin; and his siblings, Beatrice Holland, Ann Trawoski, Mozelle Elsensohn, Susie Myers, James Frank Gilreath and John Calvin Gilreath.
He is survived by: his children, Judy Bosin, Roy Gilreath, Jr. (Donna Barton) and Tammy Tidwell (Barry); his grandchildren, Chris Henderson (Becky), Matt Henderson (Nicole), Jeffrey Gilreath (Laranda), Josh Burkhalter (Sarah) and Jessica Tidwell-Weinzierl (Evan); and his great grandchildren, Meleah Gilreath, Ginny Henderson, Lucas Henderson and Charli Alys Henderson. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
