It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Thomas Wayne Matula of Rome, Georgia, who passed away on March 12, 2025, at the age of 59, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He is survived by: his wife Mary Matula; his children, Jessica Matula Cadena, Katelin Warner and Thomas Wayne Matula II; his stepson Michael Young (Amber); his grandsons, Isaiah Cadena, Grayson Warner, Knox Young and Nash Young; his brothers, Larry Matula (Dee) and Gregory Matula (Tracy); his parents, Larry Matula and Loretta Buis; and his brother Richard Matula.
The family respectfully requests that, in lieu of flowers, friends consider honoring Thomas through a thoughtful donation to the American Cancer Society or the American Liver Foundation, ensuring that his legacy of compassion continues to touch lives beyond his own.
