He was predeceased by: his parents, Franklin Self and Evelyn Justice Self; his son Andrew Self; and his son-in-law Jeremy Alston. He is survived by: his daughter Sarah Self Alston; his grandchildren, Katelyn Suits, Emily Self, Gibson Alston and Hudson Alston; and his siblings, Lydell Self (Becky) and Melanie New (Butch). He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
