With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Walter Oneal Dodd of Rome, Georgia, born in Plainville, Georgia, who passed away on September 4, 2023 at the age of 89. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Oren Oneal Dodd and Era Goswick Dodd; his wife Betty Ruth Frazier Dodd; his sister Norma Dodd Davis; and his niece Naomi Theresa Davis Weaver.
He is survived by: his children, Cynthia Ann Dodd Leonard (Ronald) and Lance Allan Dodd (Victoria); his grandchildren, Jennifer Ann Sanchez (Victor), Julia Christine Hammond (Daniel), Angela Michelle Mohnkern (Andy) of Conway, AR, Walter Oneal Dodd, II (Tina) of Crossville, TN, Nathan Oneal Dodd of Shreveport, LA, Michelle Frances Chartier (Tommy Anderson) of Bossier, LA and Stephanie Wilkes (Michael) of Monroe, LA; and his nieces and nephews, Timothy Oneal Davis and Era "Missy" Shiffer. He is also survived by numerous great-grandchildren.
