Wendell Edmond Rhodes Obituary

It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Wendell Edmond Rhodes of Rome, Georgia, born in Ocilla, Georgia, who passed away on January 16, 2021, at the age of 69, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Glenn Thomas Rhodes Sr. and Nell Beazley Rhodes of Virginia. He is survived by: his wife Cathy Lynn Fowler Rhodes; his children, Amy Rhodes Boyd (John) and Wendell Corey Rhodes (Ginger); his brother Tommy Rhodes (Kim); and his grandchildren, Jacey Boyd Terrette (Austin), Kendal Kamille Boyd, Ella Claire Rhodes, Evan Corey Rhodes and Evie Cate Rhodes. He is also survived by nieces, nephew and other extended family.

In accordance with the guidelines and recommendations set forth by the CDC, social distancing guidelines will be in place as well as the use of masks highly recommended for all services provided for Mr. Wendell Edmond Rhodes.

The family respectfully requests that floral arrangements be omitted and memorial contributions be made to the Sherwood Forest Baptist Church at 1 Goodman Rd. NE, Rome Ga. 30161.
