He was predeceased by: his parents, John Wesley and Katherine Frances James; and his brothers, Tommy and Ronnie Wayne James. He is survived by: his pet Rosie; his daughters, Erica Jenkins and Sharon Giles; his grandchildren, Brooke Jenkins, Connor Blackwell, Hannah Jenkins, Brandon Giles and Justin Giles; and his siblings, A. L. James (Dodie), Sharon "Bonnie" Richey (Don) and Necia Tinker (Rockie). He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins, and other extended family.
