With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Betty Jean Goodner (Rossville, Georgia), born in Chattanooga, Tennessee, who passed away on October 30, 2025 at the age of 94. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Betty Jean Goodner to pay them a last tribute.
She was predeceased by: her husband James Kenneth Goodner; and her sister Joyce Stamey. She is survived by: her children, Darryl Goodner (Janet) of Ringgold and Sandra Lynn Johnson of Panama City, Florida.; her grandchildren, John Christopher Brooks, Tracie Hicks (Jeremy), Kylia Goodner and Katie Kuzma (Zachary); her great grandchildren, Grayson Brooks, Lincoln Hicks, Raven Kuzma, Rhett Kuzma and Alexandra Semertzides; and her grandchildren, Jeremy Brooks (Shelly) and Ryleigh Kuzma.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, November 4th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Heritage Funeral Home & Crematory (3239 Battlefield Pkwy, Fort Oglethorpe, GA 30742). A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, November 5th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
