David Roosevelt Turner Obituary
We announce the death of David Roosevelt Turner of Rossville, Georgia, who passed away on August 5, 2026, at the age of 91. David will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. He was predeceased by: his parents, Allen Eugene Turner and Edith Walker Turner; his siblings, Pauline Funderburk, Thelma Oliver and Gene Turner; and his son-in-law Gary Watkins.
He is survived by: his wife Hazel "Nanny" Turner; his children, Sharon Turner Watkins, Rick Turner (Kim) and Mark Turner (Marilyn); his sister Peggy Bandy (Morris); his grandchildren, Stephen Turner (Jessica), Michelle Hoffman, Stephanie Fleming (Ryan), Michael McGill, Tiffany Thennes and Zach Turner; and his friend Bro. Mike Lowery. He is also survived by 13 great-grandchildren; many other relatives.
