He is survived by: his children, Tracie Blevins (Ken) and Andy Simmons (Amanda); his granddaughters, Wendi Wolfe (Brian) and Amber Simmons; his great grandchildren, Turner Wolfe (Lexi), Connor Wolfe, Lily Wolfe and Aiden Bellinger; and his former wife Jerrie Chadwick Simmons (Burch).

In lieu of flowers, donations in his honor can be made to the American Cancer Society.
