It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Garry Lester Vaughn (Rossville, Georgia), who passed away on September 30, 2025, at the age of 78, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Lester "R. C." Vaughn and Gussie Elizabeth Graham Vaughn. He is survived by: his wife Brenda Kate Ashley Vaughn; his children, Chris Vaughn (Kellie) of Rock Spring, GA, Corey Vaughn of Rock Spring, GA and Cayla Thompson (Bobby) of Paris, TX; his grandchildren, Laura Beth Tench (Kagen) of Rock Spring, GA, Daniel Vaughn of LaFayette, GA and Layne Vaughn of Chickamauga, GA; his great grandchildren, McKinley, Annaston, Rhett Tench and Olivia Vaughn; and his siblings, Beverly Little (Larry) of LaFayette, GA, Cindy Cooper (Michael) of Burning Bush, GA, Rodney Vaughn of Rock Spring, GA and Scott Vaughn of Rock Spring, GA. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 4th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 2:45 PM at the Wilson Funeral Homes - LaFayette Chapel (1779 N Main St, LaFayette, GA 30728). A graveside service will be held on Saturday, October 4th 2025 at 3:00 PM at the LaFayette Memory Gardens (3658 North Highway 27, LaFayette, GA 30728).
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital or a charity of your choice.
