He was predeceased by: his father Grover Hixon; and his grandson Jake Hixon. He is survived by: his mother Mary Williams; his wife Sandra Hixon; his sons, Scott Hixon (Stephanie) and Chad Hixon; his sister Norma Barton (Glen); and his grandchildren, Kate, Betsy, Cory and Eric Hixon.

“Bro Gary was a wonderful sweet man always ready with a smile every time I saw him. Gary & Sandy have been close friends of my in laws Bill & Beulah’s for many years. I always felt love while in Gary & Sandy’s presence. I am thankful that Gary has finally make it home as he longed to do. The last time I saw him I was in awe at his attitude towards dying. He didn’t want to leave his family but he was ready for Heaven. I am so sorry we can’t support his family but we are praying for them.”
