James Robert Guider Sr. Obituary

With heavy hearts, we announce the death of James Robert Guider Sr. (Rossville, Georgia), who passed away on January 18, 2026 at the age of 84. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Edgar Guider, Sr. and Bessie Helen Guider; and his brothers, Ralph Guider, Sr., John Guider, Sr. and Ed Guider, Jr..

He is survived by: his wife Laura Ann Guider; his sons, Jimmy Guider (Sherri) of Ringgold, Mark Guider (Lorri) of Dalton and Barry Guider of Apison, Georgia; his brother Don Guider (Alice) of Rossville, Georgia; his grandchildren, Nikki Faulkenberry, Matthew Guider, Rachel Collins, Ben Guider and Hannah Keith; and his great grandchildren, Fisher, Phoenix, Josie, Jacob, Laura, Riley, Addi, Maggie, Grayson and Emerson. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, the family has requested donations in Jim's memory to The American Cancer Society or St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
