With sadness, we share the passing of Melvin Paul Brown of Rossville, Georgia. Melvin, born on February 9, 1948 in Maryville, Tennessee, passed away on October 1, 2026. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his former wife Martha Brown; his parents, Paul Brown and Mary Brown; and his sister Martha Kay Brown. He is survived by: his wife Wynnona "Nona" Brown; his daughter Lindsey Gallaher (Jeff); his grandchildren, Amelia and Avery Gallaher; his sisters, Patsy "Patty" Brown-Currey and Faye Wood (Sam); and his children, Donnia Hanson, Suzie Kipling, Debbie Ezell, Sandy Steele, Angie Holcomb and Billy Ezell. He is also survived by grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Monday, October 5th 2026 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Tuesday, October 6th 2026 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM. A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, October 6th 2026 at 12:00 PM at the Fairview Baptist Church (108 N Jenkins Rd, Rossville, GA 30741).
In lieu of Flowers donations may be made to the Forge Group at Fairview Baptist Church.
