He is survived by: his wife Oliva "Olive" Gowan; his children, Matthew Gowan (Brandi) and Genesis "Lexi" Gowan (Michael Ibanez); his grandchildren, Maddie Gowan and Sophia Ibanez; his siblings, Franklin "Bubba" Gowan, Barry Carl Gowan, Shirley Sue Gowan Williams and Melissa Kay Gowan Beaver; and his sisters-in-law, Hermie Ashcraft (Ray) and Helen Lowe (Dennis). He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
