He was predeceased by: his wife Sally Gordy; his parents, Tommy Gordy and Juanita Gordy; and his siblings, Martha Darlene Dean, Billy Gordy, Steve Gordy and Tony Gordy.
He is survived by: his sons, Robert Alan Gordy, Jr. and Christopher Scott Gordy, Sr.; and his siblings, Johnnie Cain, Thomas A. Gordy and James E. Gordy. He is also survived by nine grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and several nieces and nephews.
