With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Robert Hunter (Rossville, Georgia), born in Lancaster, South Carolina, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on May 27, 2025 at the age of 66. He was predeceased by: his parents, Sara Agnes Hunter and Robert Hunter; and his siblings, Ronnie Hunter, Kay Horton and Larry Hunter.
He is survived by: his children, Savannah Hunter Garcia (Pedro Garcia), Finn Hunter and Rhett Hunter; his wife DeLaine; his granddaughter Auriah; and his sisters, Mary Young and Angie Faile (Roger).
Visitation will be held on Friday, June 6th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Saturday, June 7th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Heritage Funeral Home & Crematory (3239 Battlefield Pkwy, Fort Oglethorpe, GA 30742). A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, June 7th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Heritage Funeral Home Chapel - Ft. Oglethorpe Heritage Funeral Homes Fort Oglethorpe (3239 Battlefield Pkwy, Fort Oglethorpe, GA 30742).
