He was predeceased by: his parents, William H. Elrod and Louise Elrod. He is survived by: his wife Gaynell Elrod; his children, Lisa Banister (Tim) and Lamar Elrod (Missy); his grandchildren, Christopher Banister (Jessi), Trey Elrod (Chalee), Laura Woods (Austin) and Logan Jones (Haley); and his great grandchildren, Heidi Banister and Bohdi Jones. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, and other extended family members and friends.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 2nd 2025 from 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM at the Lane Funeral Home - South Crest Chapel (833 Chickamauga Ave, Rossville, GA 30741). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, October 2nd 2025 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the same location.
