He was predeceased by: his parents, Lamont Smith, Sr. and Shirley Harris Williams. He is survived by: his wife Dale Smith; his children, Brandy Burke and Tony Smith, Jr. (Heidi); his stepchildren, Angela, Michelle and Mickey; and his siblings, Lamont L. Smith, Jr., Charles Smith, Tim Smith and Melissa Simmons. He is also survived by seven grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held on Friday, October 9th 2026 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the W. L. Wilson & Sons Funeral Home-Ft. Oglethorpe Chapel (555 Cloud Springs Rd, Ft. Oglethorpe, GA 30742). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, October 10th 2026 at 2:00 PM at the same location. A burial will be held on Saturday, October 10th 2026 at the Payne's Chapel (1130 GA-157, Lookout Mountain, GA 30750).
