He is survived by: his mother Dr. Merry Mark Merryfield (Jim Columbo); his wife Angela Wood Cate; his daughters, Candler Isabella Cate and Kylie Anne Jama Cate; his brother James Cate (Amy); his niece Grace Caroline Cate; his nephew Preston Charles Cate; his uncle Ronnie Cate (Julie); his aunts, Freddie Towle (Charles) and Linda Cate-Whiten (Kenny); his mother-in-law Anne A. "Susie" Wood; his brother-in-law Allen W. Wood (Beth); his nephews, Tony Yawn (Jennifer) and Winston Wood; his niece Amanda Henderson (Kevin); his sister-in-law Ashley W. Duke (Steve); and his nieces, Jordan, Eliza and Macie Jean Duke.
