She was predeceased by: her husband Sam W. Freeman Jr.; her mother Irma Cochran Locke; and her brother Thomas Jefferson Summerour. She is survived by: her children, Samuel Walker Freeman, III, Carol Freeman Ake (Tim) of Woodstock and Bob Freeman (Grace) of Dunwoody; her siblings, Jimmy Locke (Sue), Ellen Lovvorn (Harry) and Judy Hartley (Harold); her grandchildren, Lauren Freeman Whittaker (Pace), Stephen Ake (Emily), Colin Ake (Nikki), Samuel Walker Freeman IV (Emily), Bryan Ake (Toni), James Freeman, Melissa Ake (Robert Henry), Beth Anne Ake Teal (John-Michael), Powell Freeman (Kathryn), Amanda Ake Besserman (Brad) and Lewis Freeman; and her great grandchildren, Merritt, Lilah Whittaker, Jonathan Ake, Owen, Lealynn, Hudson Ake, Samuel Walker Freeman V, Calvin, Kelsey Ake, Lucas Henry and Edward Teal.
Visitation will be held on Friday, August 1st 2025 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Northside Chapel Funeral Directors & Crematory (12050 Crabapple Rd, Roswell, GA 30075). A graveside service will be held on Saturday, August 2nd 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Oak Hill Cemetery (97 Jefferson St, Newnan, GA 30263). A memorial service will be held on Saturday, August 2nd 2025 at 3:00 PM at the Roswell First Baptist Church (710 Mimosa Blvd, Roswell, GA 30075).
In lieu of flowers the family requests gifts be given in her memory to First Baptist Roswell, 710 Mimosa Boulevard, Roswell, GA 30075.
